Linear 2 Channel Keychain Block Coded Transmitter model ACT-22B

SKU: ACT-22B Categories: , , ,

For adding keyless remote entry and panic functions to an existing access control system or as part of a new radio-based system, Linear offers the ACT series – miniature keychain transmitters that are compatible with all Linear access receivers and controllers. They are a safe, convenient form of door, gate, or gate and door control and are ideal for handicapped access. At sites where extra security is needed, like campuses and parking garages, the two-channel model can be used as a panic button to summon help. The ACT-22B is a two-channel device. It is supplied with a quick-disconnect key ring with two rings – one for the transmitter and a car key and the other for home or office keys. Also included are lithium batteries with a five-year service life. A unique 10-second time-out feature prevents the system from being shut down by a single transmitter transmitting continuously. This model is MegaCode format, which means that transmitter is factory preprogrammed with one of over 1,000,000 codes, virtually eliminating the possibility of code duplication. Because the receiver “learns” each specific code, no unauthorized person can gain access to the system by reprogramming a transmitter. Because there are no dip switches, the code cannot be changed in the field. Block coding is also available, to save the time required for the transmitter to be individually learned. When used with a Linear access controller, the transmitter can be locally or remotely programmed into memory by entering the first and last codes of the block into the system. Facility codes can be selected to further customize the system. All transmitter code data is stored in non-volatile EEPROM. Data is retained in excess of 10 years, even if battery power runs out.
